The lack of mental health care for young people in the UK leaves some in crisis.

The Zone’s Youth Support Service is supported by The Manny Cussins Foundation and is a completely confidential service.

If you are, or you know of a young person who needs some TLC, practical support or immediate intervention for whatever reason please get in touch. We network with other organisations and signpost towards the best possible support available.

Please contact our Youth Support Service by live chat, by calling 07936 362 908 or you can email us by clicking here.

The Zone’s Youth Support Service

  • Offer young people a multi pronged well being service to look holistically at their personal, social development and good mental health.

  • Provide a positive focus and preventative intervention for those young people and their families in need of such a service.

  • Develop a bespoke programme of support through informal discussions with the young person and in consultation with their family, focusing on sport, multimedia or any other areas of interest the young person may have.

  • Liaise with a network of specialist agencies, counsellors, therapists and registered charities for any referrals necessary.

  • Collaborate and participate in inter-agency case review meetings if required.

  • Our aim is simple; to support children and youth to get through a tough time, to introduce them to a range of hobbies and activities to improve their self esteem, confidence, skills, CV’s and ultimately their well being.

As part of our Safeguarding protocols we work closely with West Yorkshire Police in order to support children who are resident in households where there are incidents of domestic violence and abuse. We know that children can be significantly physically or emotionally hurt by being either present in the house or directly witnessing an incident of domestic violence.

If you would like further support or information about domestic violence and abuse please go to:

The Zone is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. It recognises its responsibility to take all reasonable steps to promote safe practice and to protect children from harm, abuse and exploitation. The Zone Youth Club acknowledges its duty to act appropriately to any allegations, reports or suspicions of abuse.

Paid staff and volunteers will endeavour to work together to encourage the development of an ethos, which embraces difference and diversity and respects the rights of children, young people and adults.
